SCS Faith Foundations Bible Study

This fall the Foundation Bible study will meet the second Tuesday of each month during the school year.

We meet in the Parlor from 9 to 9:45 am. The series this school year is Dinner with Jesus. No preparation needed. We look forward to your presence. Your little ones that are not in preschool are welcome too and can play in the parlor while we listen to a 10 – 14 minute video followed by open discussion.

Some of our most meaningful memories revolve around sharing a meal with people. Whether it’s a Thanksgiving Dinner, a birthday celebration, or just a random Tuesday with the people we love, food has a way of taking an ordinary gathering and making it more memorable. Whatever the psychology behind that is, it tracks with our experience. That’s why it makes sense that some of Jesus’ most impactful conversations, stories, and encounters happened over a shared meal. Over the next several months, we’re going to look at some of the meals Jesus shared with all sorts of different people. We’ll take a look at the words exchanged over shared food together and see what we might learn for our own time and context. We hope you can join us starting Tuesday, September 10th.
