Preparing For the Future
As 2025 quickly approaches, perhaps the new year will be the time for you to start the estate planning process for yourself and family? Or fast forward, maybe it’s time to consider downsizing and moving into an assisted living home? Both are major undertakings and can be a bit overwhelming to even know where to begin.
Sanlando may help you get the ball rolling, come January. Join us in Fellowship Hall on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, for a free educational evening program that offers helpful information and resources on:
- “Downsizing Made Easy” will focus on tips for preparing your current home or selecting a future residence that’s more manageable and suitable for seniors’ needs. This session – from 5:00-6:00 p.m. – will be led by Sanlando church member and Certified Senior Housing Professional Bonnie Warren.
- “Leaving Your Legacy” will focus on reviewing essential life-planning documents, including trusts, wills, medical, charitable giving methods and tax implications. This session – from 6:30-7:30 p.m. – will be led by Sanlando church member and Estate Trust Specialist Merry Jochum.
A complimentary dinner will also be served between the two sessions from 6:00-6:30 p.m., with advanced reservations required beginning in early January. Members and their guests are welcome to attend the entire program or just one of the sessions and dinner.
